Take a look at our policies:
At The Canine Classroom, we are committed to providing a safe, professional, and effective training experience for both pets and their owners. To ensure the best possible outcomes, we have established the following policies regarding training, payments, cancellations, and pet health. By enrolling in our programs, you agree to adhere to these guidelines.
POLICY STATEMENT:
TRAINING METHODS
We use only positive reinforcement training techniques based on the latest scientific research in animal behavior. Harsh corrections, dominance-based training, or aversive tools such as prong collars and shock collars are not permitted in our programs. Our approach is designed to build trust and confidence between pets and their owners.
HEALTH & VACCINATIONS
For the safety of all pets and participants, all dogs must be up-to-date on their vaccinations, including rabies, distemper, and bordetella. Proof of vaccination is required before attending any training sessions. Dogs showing signs of illness, including coughing, vomiting, or diarrhea, should not attend training until they have fully recovered.
PAYMENT & REFUND POLICY
Payment for all training programs is required at the time of booking. We do not offer refunds once training has commenced, but credit may be applied toward future sessions in certain cases. If you are unable to attend a scheduled session, please contact us in advance to discuss rescheduling options.
CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING
Clients must provide at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling of private training sessions. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a rescheduling fee. Group class fees are non-refundable, and missed classes cannot be credited or rescheduled unless due to medical emergencies.
PET BEHAVIOR & SAFETY
Owners are responsible for their pet’s behavior during training sessions. Any dog that exhibits excessive aggression, poses a danger to others, or is uncontrollable may be required to transition to a private training program before continuing in group settings. Owners must use appropriate leashes and collars for safety during training.
LIABILITY WAIVER
While every precaution is taken to ensure the safety of pets and owners, The Canine Classroom is not liable for any injuries, illnesses, or damages that occur during training sessions. Owners acknowledge that training outcomes depend on consistency, practice, and reinforcement at home.
By enrolling in our training programs, you agree to these policies. We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to helping you and your pet achieve training success!
